Beginning Sept. 1, TU faculty and staff will have access to a new communal micro-workout space on the second floor of the Administration Building.

The space is designed to offer faculty and staff short, sweat-free strength training sessions during work breaks. It’s located in AD2110 and equipped with specialized EGYM Recharge machines which guide participants through creating and following a customized workout plan.

Faculty and staff go through a quick assessment and onboarding at the space’s Fitness Hub machine to get started, then use the EGYM app to log in during each visit. Once logged in, the machines guide you guests a quick and effective workout according to their individualized fitness level and goals.  No gym clothes or experience is required.

Faculty and staff are invited to explore the space at a special open house on Tues., Sept. 1 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Staff from Campus Recreation and EGYM will be available to familiarize visitors with the equipment and assist with onboarding.

The space will be open during Administration Building hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., beginning Sept. 1. Building occupants can drop in; faculty and staff who are not occupants should enter through the first floor and be prepared to show their OneCards.  Following the open house, onboarding sessions with a Campus Rec staff member will be available through the Campus Rec portal. Additional information is available on TU's EGYM webpage.

TU faculty and staff also have full access to the equipment at the fitness center located at Burdick Hall, where similar EGYM machines have gained a loyal following.
