Uncovering student success gems in Cook Library
Your guide to course material, research, wellness resources in Cook Library
Beyond the stacks and study spaces, Cook Library offers a plethora of resources to support student success. Whether you need course material access, personalized research support or ways to de-stress, Cook has got you covered.
“So many people think of a library as just a warehouse of old books, but Cook Library is so much more than that,” says Joyce Garczynski, director of library communication and engagement. “Everything we do—from the textbooks we lend to our spaces, hours, programs and services—are all designed to help meet students’ information needs.”
Ask a Librarian
Got research project questions? Cook Library’s experienced librarians and library assistants are ready to support you across a variety of disciplines and will take the time to work with you.
You can use the Ask a Librarian chat feature on Cook’s website to connect directly with librarians during regular business hours. For in-depth research on general topics, you can use the Ask a Librarian resource to request a one-on-one meeting.
Textbook Rentals
The library provides print textbooks and eBooks for many courses, available for free borrowing.
Students can also use the CookOneSearch website feature to find academic books, novels, cookbooks, journal articles, and documentary films for student access.
We always try to identify what will help students succeed and then we work with students to co-create the best resources and tools we can to help them along their TU journey and beyond.

Supplemental Study & Course Materials
When it comes to academic success, study materials and tools are essential.
In addition to course-specific rental materials, Cook lends graphing calculators and headphones.
Free earplugs can also be requested to promote a more focused study environment, no matter where you are in the library or on campus.
