TU launches free food alerts
Food Alert On Campus app connects Tigers with food opportunities while reducing food waste
Towson University students, faculty and staff can now sign up to get notified when free food is available on campus.
The university has partnered with the Food Alert On Campus app, which enables TU event managers to spread the word when there’s surplus food from catered events on campus. Individuals registered for the alerts will get messages with information on the food available, where it’s located and how long it’ll be up for grabs. Everything is first-come, first-served and available only while supplies last.
The notification system connects Tigers with food opportunities while reducing the amount of food waste on campus.
