From Towson, with love
Love doesn’t have to be blind, you don’t have to be married at first sight and you definitely don’t need a 90-day fiancée to celebrate your happily ever after.
Whether you believe Valentine's Day was created by greeting card companies or delight in the profusion of roses, chocolate and little candy hearts that say Be Mine, the holiday—at its core—is a day of celebration: of your partner, your bestie or even simply yourself.
Each edition of TU Magazine shines a light on a TU love story. Maybe they met on campus the very first day of class freshman year and have been inseparable since. Or maybe they shared a solitary class and connected again 10 years later on Instagram. Every couple has a different story and we love to share them.
Below are four of the thousands of TU romances that have blossomed in dorm rooms, dining halls and at house parties.

Agnes ’09 and Matt Geisler ’09
Agnes and Matt met at an ice cream social for Campus Crusade for Christ.

Crystal ’92 and Tim Martin ‘94
Crystal and Tim met through a mutual friend before he even moved in his first year.

Kristen ’09 and Darrick Sesker ’08
Kristen and Darrick met in high school, but they did not start dating until Darrick transferred to TU to play basketball.

The Waskos
Kirstin ’11 and Marta Wasko ’11 didn’t have the same last name when they met their freshman year at TU. But in 2012, Kirstin fell for Matt Wasko, and Marta met his identical twin brother Mark.
