In partnership with the Maryland State Arts Council, TU has welcomed its second public art installation, "Light Embrace," to campus.

At 21' high and 15' wide, the hand-glazed, hand-cut mosaic mural invites passersby to pause and take in the present moment.

On Wed., Sept. 16, the mural was celebrated at a public art dedication in the Health Professions Building. TU President Mark R. Ginsberg recognized the talent and craftsmanship of artist Dixie Friend Gay and Mosaika Art & Design and highlighted the importance of supporting the arts and the well-being of future healthcare professionals.

"Art belongs not just in galleries, but in our everyday lives, creating opportunities for connection, contemplation and inspiration," says Ginsberg. "TU is proud to have this beautiful piece as a space for our community to reflect and enjoy."
