Towson University has entered into a new marketing partnership with Monumental Sports & Entertainment (MSE), expanding the university's presence across one of the region's largest sports and media platforms.

The agreement positions TU alongside Monumental Sports & Entertainment's premier professional sports properties, including the Washington Capitals, Washington Wizards, Washington Mystics and Monumental Sports Network. Through a combination of in-arena, broadcast, digital and streaming assets, the partnership will elevate TU’s visibility among audiences throughout the Washington–Baltimore region.

"This partnership provides an exciting opportunity to showcase Towson University to new audiences across the region through some of the most recognizable brands in professional sports," says Mark Ginsberg, university president. "As Maryland's university of opportunities, we're proud to align with an organization that reaches millions of fans and community members each year while helping increase awareness of all that Towson University has to offer."

The agreement includes integrated marketing opportunities across MSE's teams, venues and media properties, including in-game signage, commercial inventory, digital advertising and promotional activations designed to connect the TU brand with sports fans throughout the region.

The partnership builds upon an existing relationship that began during the 2022–23 season when Monumental Sports Network first broadcast TU men's basketball games. Since then, coverage has expanded to include football, women's basketball, volleyball and men's lacrosse—bringing increased exposure to Tiger Athletics and helping connect the university with broader audiences across the region.

“We’re excited to welcome Towson University as a Monumental Sports & Entertainment partner,” said Patrick Duffy, chief partnership officer at MSE. “Sports create a powerful way for organizations to connect with people, and we look forward to bringing Towson into the Monumental experience in ways that engage our fans while creating some unique touchpoints for students and the broader university community.”

In addition to the marketing platform, the partnership will feature select community engagement and fan-experience opportunities. Planned activations include a community service initiative involving TU student-athletes, Monumental employees and Washington Wizards alumni as well as a Washington Wizards-themed game-night experience at TU.

The agreement also provides opportunities for student engagement, including select, behind-the-scenes experiences that offer students a unique look at careers and operations within the professional sports industry.

“Monumental has become an important partner for Tiger Athletics, and this agreement allows us to deepen that relationship,” says Steve Eigenbrot, senior vice president of athletics at TU. “We’re expanding our ability to reach audiences throughout the Baltimore and Washington markets while creating meaningful opportunities for our student-athletes and students. This partnership strengthens TU’s presence in the region and connects our university community with an outstanding professional sports organization.”
