Towson University earns national recognition for transfer student success
Phi Theta Kappa names TU to its 2026 Transfer Honor Roll, recognizing the university as one of the nation's top destinations for transfer students
Towson University has been recognized by Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society (PTK) as one of the nation's leaders in supporting transfer students, earning a place on the prestigious 2026 Transfer Honor Roll. The recognition highlights colleges and universities that excel at helping community college students successfully transfer, persist and complete their bachelor's degrees.
Selected from more than 1,100 participating institutions, TU was recognized for its commitment to creating clear pathways to student success through effective transfer practices, credit mobility, financial support and an engaging campus experience. The recognition comes after Towson University announced its membership in the inaugural cohort of the Maryland Transfer Intensive, a statewide collaboration designed to significantly improve community college transfer outcomes.
