Showing up and showing out
Dan Forson, a senior in the electronic media and film department and student videographer, will be showing his #TUPride while working and attending various Homecoming events.
"I'm excited to bust out the new fits for Homecoming week and the concert," Forson says, “I'm thinking something semi-formal but comfortable — a button down with a nice denim vest and incorporating some black and gold. Accessories and jewelry are a must too.”
What to bring and what to leave at home
To ensure a smooth entry into the concert, make sure that any bag you bring complies with TU’s clear bag policy.
The following are compliant with the clear bag guidelines:
- Clear plastic, vinyl or PVC bags not exceeding 12” by 6” by 12”
- One-gallon clear resealable plastic storage bags
- Small clutch bags not exceeding 4.5” by 6” — with or without a handle or strap
Please note that backpacks, tinted bags and large purses will not be permitted at these events.
Not planning to bring a bag? Small personal items like phones, wallets, keys and lip balm may be carried without a bag. These items may still be subject to inspection upon entry to SECU.
TU’s clear bag policy and a full list of prohibited items can be found on the main Homecoming Concert page.
Must have songs in your “get-ready” playlist
Homecoming committee members Afissa Kakaye, Denise Kamgaing, Chris Lloyd, Victoria Ajasin and Elijah Brantley who are all getting amped up for the concert know that whether you're getting ready with your friends or solo, the perfect playlist sets the tone for the night ahead.
Songs sure to be in their queue include "Buy U a Drank" and "I'm n Luv."
Forson on the other hand will be blasting T-Pain's "Bartender" featuring Senegalese-American singer Akon.
