Towson University has earned the Highly Established Action Plan Seal for the 2026 election cycle from the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge, recognizing the university's comprehensive strategy to advance nonpartisan democratic engagement, increase voter participation and foster a culture of civic responsibility throughout the campus community. This is the third time TU has received this recognition.

The designation acknowledges institutions that have developed robust, sustainable plans to educate, engage and empower students to participate in the democratic process. The recognition reflects Towson University’s ongoing efforts to integrate civic learning and voter engagement into the student experience while providing students with the resources and opportunities needed to become active and informed citizens.

"Earning the Highly Established Action Plan Seal demonstrates our institution's commitment to preparing students not only for their careers, but also for meaningful participation in their communities and our democracy. Towson University's action plan includes initiatives designed to educate students about the electoral process, increase voter registration and turnout and encourage informed civic participation through partnerships, programs and campus-wide engagement opportunities.

The university's efforts are led by the Office for Social Impact, which works with students, faculty, staff and community partners to strengthen civic learning and community engagement initiatives.
