The College of Health Professions invites applications for two tenure-track, 10-month Assistant Professor Positions in the Department of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Science beginning August 2020.



Earned post-professional research doctoral degree by August 13, 2020. Licensed or eligible for licensure as an occupational therapist in the State of Maryland; clinical experience practicing occupational therapy and teaching experience in occupational therapy or occupational science. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated awareness and evidence of strategies to foster an inclusive learning environment. Commitment to excellence in teaching, advising, scholarship, and service.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of two years clinical experience in occupational therapy practice with a defined population, a minimum of two years of teaching experience in occupational therapy or occupational science and on-going involvement in occupational therapy or occupational science professional activities.



Teach graduate students in course work focused on clinical practice in area of expertise and foundational knowledge as well as direct research in occupational therapy and/or occupational science at both the master’s and doctoral levels. Facilitate teaching and learning experiences, advise professional students, and participate in service to the profession as well as within the department, college and university. Conduct research and seek external funding to support research and contribute to the service mission of the department, college and university.
