The College of Business and Economics invites applications for a tenure-track, 10-month Assistant Professor position in the Department of Economics beginning August 2020.


PhD in economics. ABDs considered with a completion date of February 2021.  Preferred areas of teaching and research are in labor economics. The successful applicants are expected to be excellent teachers and develop a research program appropriate to the field.


The expected teaching load is 18 credit hours (6 courses) per year. Topics may include Principles of Economics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Statistics, and other Microeconomic Courses. 

College of Business and Economics:

The College is accredited by AACSB for both its business and accounting programs. It conducts undergraduate business programs with majors/concentrations in an array of business fields and offers a growing number of graduate programs. The College plays a prominent role in providing leadership to local/regional firms, governments, and non-profit organizations.
