Transgender Day of Remembrance programming takes place the around November 20th each year to raise awareness and educate the public about transgender rights, issues, and experiences.
This event brings together surrounding colleges and universities to promote personal and professional growth of the LGBT community.
Lavender Celebration is held annually as the culminating event of the academic year.
The PRIDE Mentor Program is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, pansexual, transgender, queer, questioning, intersex, and ally students on campus who want to be connected. Our goal is to help students acclimate and experience the most success possible while a student here at Towson University!
The Speakers Bureau exists to educate the campus about the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, and Ally experiences through panel discussions and presentations in classes, residence halls, and other university settings. Through the Speaker’s Bureau we hope to create an atmosphere of respect and acceptance for all individuals within the Towson Community.
Sponsored by LGBTQ+ Student Development, this program provides faculty, staff, students and community members with tools to become an ally to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and ally community. At the successful completion of the program, participants are given a rainbow placard to display, identifying their office or room as a "Safe Space" where someone who is supportive of the LGBTQIA people is located.
