Kappa Sigma

University Charge Date:  April 23, 2018

  1. Prohibited Conduct

Student Conduct/2c. Off-campus conduct that is disorderly and disrupts others in the community.

Student Conduct/4a. Possession or use of alcoholic beverages in the following manner: by any person under 21 years of age; or, possession of, or consumption from, an open container in any public area which has not been approved by Towson University; or, a person 21 y

Student Conduct/18. Violation of published institutional regulations and policies. Specifically:

Sanctions Include:

  1. Probation until May 15, 2019
  2. Social Probation until March 01, 2019
  3. Educational sanctions that include alcohol education training and social registration regulations when chapter is able to register social events.

Alpha Xi Delta

University Charge Date:  April 19, 2018

Sanctions Include:

  1. Deferred Suspension until November 16, 2018
  2. University Probation until May 15, 2019
  3. Social Probation until March 01, 2019
  4. Educational sanctions that include alcohol education training, bystander intervention and social registration regulations when chapter is able to register social events.

Phi Sigma Sigma

University Charge Date:  April 4, 2018

  1. Prohibited Conduct

Student Conduct/4a. Possession or use of alcoholic beverages in the following manner: by any person under 21 years of age; or, possession of, or consumption from, an open container in any public area which has not been approved by Towson University; or, a person 21 years,
Student Conduct/5a. Possession or use of illegal drugs, unauthorized controlled substances, or drug paraphernalia when not in accordance with established policy.,
Student Conduct/7c. Endangering conduct that imperils or jeopardizes the health or safety of any person or persons, including oneself.,
Student Conduct/18. Violation of published institutional regulations and policies. Specifically

  • Fraternity & Sorority Life Social Event Policy

Sanctions Include:

  1. Suspension from Towson University until August 1, 2023

Prior to the organization's return to campus, representatives from the National Sorority must meet with the Assistant Vice President for Campus Life and other relevant staff, to submit a reorganization plan and be cleared to return to campus. 

Additionally, upon return as a recognized campus organization Phi Sigma Sigma will be on probation for 1 year.

Alpha Omicron Pi

University Charge Date:  March 16, 2018

  1. Prohibited Conduct

Student Conduct/4a. Possession or use of alcoholic beverages in the following manner:  by any person under 21 years of age; or, possession of, or consumption from, an open container in any public area which has not been approved by Towson University; or, a person 21 years of age or older purchasing for, serving to, or otherwise distributing alcohol to any person who is under 21 years of age.,
Student Conduct/18. Violation of published institutional regulations and policies. Specifically:

Sanctions Include:

  1. Probation until December 21, 2018
  2. Social Probation until January 31, 2019
  3. Educational sanctions that include designing and particpating in two educational events, programs, or workshops on the topic of the Social Event Policy,  alcohol educatio, and bystander intervention.

Omega Psi Phi

University Charge Date:  March 9, 2018

  1. Prohibited Conduct

• Student Conduct/3. Uncooperative behavior and/or failure to comply with proper instructions of officials acting in performance of their duties.
Student Conduct/18. Violation of published institutional regulations and policies.

  • Hazing Policy (TU 05-09.00)

Sanctions Include:

  1. University Probation until May 25, 2019
  2. Social Probation until May 25, 2019
  3. Educational sanctions include hazing prevention worksops and education and maintaining a "Bronze" level of the Chapter Assesment Program during probationary period.

Zeta Beta Tau

University Charge Date:  November 20, 2017

  • Student Conduct/18. Violation of published institutional regulations and policies./
  • Hazing Policy (TU 05-09.00).

    Sanctions Include:
  1. Probation until June 1, 2018
  2. Educational sanctions that include re-writing the new member education plan and educating members on risk management, alcohol education and social policies as well as hazing prevention

Pi Kappa Alpha

University Charge Date:  November 7, 2017

  • Student Conduct/4a. Possession or use of alcoholic beverages in the following manner: by any person under 21 years of age; or, possession of, or consumption from, an open container in any public area which has not been approved by Towson University; or, a person 21 years,

  1. Probation until July 31, 2018
  2. Social Probation until  September 04, 2018
  3. Educational sanctions that include alcohol education training and social registration regulations when chapter is able to register social events.

Tau Kappa Epsilon

University Charge Date:  April 4, 2016

Prohibited Conduct

Student Conduct5c. Any endangering conduct that imperils or jeopardizes the health and safety of any person or persons, including oneself.
Student Conduct/12. Violation of published institutional regulations and policies,

Sanctions Include:

Suspension from Towson University through the Summer 2021.

Prior to the organization's return to campus, representatives from the National Fraternity must meet with the Assistant Vice President for Campus Life and other relevant staff, to submit a reorganization plan and be cleared to return to campus. 

Additionally, upon return as a recognized campus organization Tau Kappa Epsilon will be on probation for 1 year.
