The University Residence Government welcomes you to campus!
We are doing amazing things this year. Come to the General Assembly Meetings on Tuesdays at 7pm in the Chesapeake rooms I and II in the Union. We welcome everyone and would love to hear your input about the work we are doing to make this campus ideal for every resident.
University Residence Government is an organization that consists of all residents on Towson campus. We write resolutions to change things on campus to advocate for an updated, well-rounded living environment. We also plan events and programs to promote unity within Towson.
Some of our goals include:
URG is a group of enthusiastic individuals working together to instill Towson pride and community throughout the residence halls.
A group of residents within a building that work together to create a community where they live. This group meets weekly and becomes the pulse of their respective residence hall. Through collaborative programming, innovative ideas and a lot of laughter, this council creates a welcoming home in every hall. Of course, they receive funding to aid them in their endeavors.
Learn more about the Building Councils.
If you live on campus you are already a member of URG! Building council is the first step. Building Councils consist of members within your resident hall that are elected by students, each hall has a board. URG has an overall executive board along with building council executive boards, active members and residents. If you'd like to become more involved in your residence hall, email us or contact the Residence Life Coordinator of your building for more information. It's never too late to join!
