Food insecurity is defined as the state of being without reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food.
The FoodShare program addresses the needs of students, faculty, and staff who are experiencing food insecurity by providing a weekly bag of food. The FoodShare is located at the Ward and West Health and Counseling Center. The entrance is located on the back side of the building, directly across from the main entrance to Residence Tower. However, from the Thanksgiving Holiday (November 25, 2020) until the beginning of the Spring 2021 Semester (January 25, 2021), the TU FoodShare will be utilizing a remote pick-up model.
TU students, faculty and staff may fill out this form to request up to 10 items per week during the Winter Break. Items will be available for pick-up at the green FoodShare donation bin on the second floor of the University Union across from the information desk. You will receive an email once your items are ready for pick-up. If you did not visit the FoodShare during the Fall 2020 semester, please also fill out the intake form prior to utilizing FoodShare's services. Email email@example.com with any questions or concerns
Students with meal plans can donate up to 2 unused meal swipes per week toward the Food Insecurity Support Fund. Anyone can support this initiative by giving to the Student Emergency Fund.
