Member Responsibilities

  • Assist with university fundraising efforts by leading the Gold and Black Giving Back Campaign, the student philanthropy campaign on campus
  • Work with the Division of University Advancement to host special events for alumni, donors and friends of the university
  • Organize and participate in student engagement and philanthropy events and initiatives

Required Activities

  • Induction Ceremony: May
  • Orientation: August
  • Monthly meetings: second Wednesday of every month, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.
  • Bi-weekly committee meetings: TBD

Qualifications

  • Must be a rising sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student
  • Must have attended TU longer than one term (transfer students)
  • Must maintain a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA

Selection Process

The program is managed by the Presidential Ambassador Advisory Committee, which is made up of representatives from the Division of University Advancement. Recruitment for the following academic year begins in February, with an application deadline at the end of March. Qualified applicants are interviewed by a panel of advisors and current members, with selections being made in April.
