Brand Mark Standards

Towson University's brand mark is the graphic representation of the university to all internal and external audiences. It embodies the university's values, goals and pride. 

Brand Changes Ahead

The TU brand is evolving to match the university’s extraordinary momentum. Keep an eye out for more information and updates as the rollout nears. The campus community will have access to the new brand mark and identity in January 2019. 

The Division of University Marketing and Communications is responsible for establishing and monitoring appropriate brand mark use for both the institutional brand mark and the athletics brand mark systems. Consistent use of the brand mark is important to maintaining Towson University's image. These standards have been developed to help provide a framework for consistent use of the brand mark.

Using the Brand Mark Standards

The brand mark standards apply to ALL university communications — print or digital — as well as apparel, signage, and other merchandise or promotional items. All university organizations are required to adhere to the brand mark standards for all communications, whether produced for on- or off-campus use.

There is no printed brand standards manual — these web pages represent the official university brand mark standards. Please review the instructions on correct usage of the brand mark prior to using any university brand marks. All university units — divisions, colleges, offices and departments — are required to use the institutional brand mark to identify themselves; independent logos for university subgroups are not permitted.
