Dr. Shernette D. Grant is a nationally respected leadership strategist, executive coach, organizational development expert, speaker and consultant known for helping leaders and organizations strengthen execution, improve culture and build systems that support sustainable growth and measurable impact.

As the founder and CEO of Unorthodox Leadership Consulting & Management Services, Dr. Grant partners with nonprofit, corporate, education and mission-driven organizations to strengthen leadership capacity, align strategy, improve organizational effectiveness, and develop high-performing teams. Her work focuses on helping organizations move beyond ideas and inspiration into practical execution, accountability, operational clarity and long-term sustainability.

With more than two decades of cross-sector leadership experience, Dr. Grant has served as chief executive officer of Girl Scouts of Central Maryland and chief program officer for Junior Achievement of South Florida. She also served as both a school principal and district-level director within Broward County Public Schools, the sixth-largest school district in the nation, leading transformational work focused on leadership development, organizational culture, accountability and performance.

Known for her direct yet people-centered approach, Dr. Grant specializes in leadership development, executive coaching, board development, strategic planning, governance alignment, culture transformation, funding resilience and organizational effectiveness. She is recognized for helping leaders cut through complexity, strengthen alignment and focus on what actually drives results.

Dr. Grant is the creator of the Funding Resilience Blueprint™, a framework designed to help nonprofit organizations build sustainable, board-powered funding strategies and long-term organizational stability. She is also the author of Unorthodox Leadership: A Guide for Leading Real People in Real Organizations.
