Weis Markets is teaming up with Towson University to host a Grocery Dash on Dec. 5, 2024, benefiting the Basic Needs Hub (The Hub), the university’s essential resource center providing food, clothing and support services for students.

This exciting event will feature one lucky participant, Umu Bah Jalloh, representing TU’s College of Business and Economics, who earned her spot by winning a campuswide food drive competition.

Umu Bah Jalloh will race against the clock with only TWO MINUTES in Weis Markets, filling her cart with groceries to take home. In a generous gesture, Weis Markets will match the value of the items she collects and donate that amount to The Hub, helping to support students who rely on these vital resources.

“Everyone at the Hub is incredibly grateful for this collaboration and thrilled to see a student participate in such a fun event for a great cause,” says Faith Borras, program director.
