Spring 2026 Commencement Graduates Allyyah Aali, Jeremy, Joshua and John Wittstadt and Emily McElroy

Towson University spring 2026 graduates (from left to right): Allyyah Aali; brothers Jeremy, Joshua and John Wittstadt; and Emily McElroy.

Allyyah Aali

College of Fine Arts and Communication

At the beginning of this year, I thought graduation was an ending, but it’s truly the beginning of the life you’re building as a young adult. While the unknown may feel uncomfortable, there is so much beauty in watching your future unfold in real time. Embrace it.

Allyyah Aali

Aali is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in mass communication with a dual track in advertising and public relations. She served as the 105th president of the Student Government Association. She served on the University System of Maryland Student Council and participated in meaningful discussions with Gov. Wes Moore about issues affecting college students across Maryland and beyond.

The Wittstadt Brothers

College of business and economics

Attending TU is one of the best decisions we have made. From the very beginning, TU has been more than a place where you just get a degree—it’s a community that is there to support you, set you up for success and be a launch point to help achieve your dreams and goals.

The Wittstadt Brothers

Joshua, Jeremy and John Wittstadt are all graduating with Bachelor of Science degrees in business administration. With a passion for finance and a shared hobby of gaming, the brothers formed their own business, Pixelationz Studios LLC, and have now been Minecraft Marketplace partners for more than five years. They’ve created more than 500 different products and specialize in making content that inspires and excites players around the world.

Emily McElroy

College of Liberal Arts, College of Business and Economics

I can’t say enough about the support I’ve received from CBE and the Spanish department within CLA. My professors have taken a vested interest in my success and growth, and I’ve learned skills that I’ll carry with me for the rest of my life.

Emily McElroy

McElroy is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and foreign languages. She focused her studies on business leadership and management, Spanish and minored in music industry studies. She served as an ambassador for the College of Business and Economics, studied abroad in Ecuador and Spain and helped operate the MentHER program. Her goal is to become a tour manager in the music industry.

2026 Spring Towson University graduates Ciaran Peters and Kendle Weaver and Amblessed Nkwocha

Towson University spring 2026 graduates (from left to right) Ciaran Peters, Kendle Weaver and Amblessed Nkwocha.

Ciaran Peters

college OF LIBERAL ARTS

I have always liked making cities and analyzing ‘what could be’ when looking at infrastructure on car rides. When I learned about urban planning and how much it could help my community, I was led to geography at TU.

Ciaran Peters

Peters is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in geography and environmental planning, which he paired with a minor in geographic information systems. Peters passionately supported the Towson Urban Farm and the Food Recovery Network. His next journey will be joining an AmeriCorps trip under the Appalachian Conservation Corps.

Kendle Weaver

College of Fine Arts and Communication

I changed my major four times during my college career…I eventually settled on photography because I love doing whatever it takes for the photo. Don’t be afraid to change your major a few times; it takes everyone different amounts of time to figure out their passions. Life is not a race.

Kendle Weaver

Weaver is graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in art and design from the College of Fine Arts and Communication. She is a first-generation college student and contributed extensively to the university’s photography storytelling as a student employee for TU’s Division of University Marketing and Communications photo team.

Amblessed Nkwocha

Fisher College of Science and Mathematics

TU gave me something I didn’t find anywhere else: the hope that I could earn my degree without being buried in debt. The affordable in-state tuition, combined with scholarships and grants, gave me the real possibility of graduating with little to no financial burden.

Amblessed Nkwocha

Nkwocha is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry and served as a dedicated chemistry tutor and ambassador for the Fisher College of Science and Mathematics, during which she earned the Ruth Marder Presidential Endowment for Top Ten Scholars. She plans to take a gap year as she applies to med school.

2026 Towson University Spring Graduates Conner Gleaves, Sunmisola Balogun and Yonatan Amare

Towson University 2026 spring graduates (from left to right) Conner Gleaves, Sunmisola Balogun and Yonatan Amare.

Conner Gleaves

Honors College, College of health professions

It feels really rewarding and a little surreal to be graduating. Graduating represents years of effort, growth and discipline. It is something I am proud of, especially when I think about everything it took to get here.

Conner Gleaves

Gleaves is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in sport management with a minor in business administration. As part of the Honors College, he was involved in the Honors College Leadership Council, served as an orientation mentor and was part of the TU Honors College Leaders Cohort. Gleaves embarks on a new journey to earn his Master of Finance from the University of Notre Dame in the fall.

Sunmisola Balogun

Fisher College of Science and Mathematics

Now we get to go out into the world and start over again. But this time it’ll be with a wealth of knowledge and more people to rely on. To those looking to pursue degrees at TU, the only mistake would be not to.

Sunmisola Balogun

Balogun is graduating with a Master of Science in applied information technology. She was drawn to graduate studies because of the Towson Opportunities in STEM (TOPS) program, which encouraged her to pursue TU’s accelerated programs. The program enabled her smooth transition from her undergraduate studies to the applied information technology program. Her next steps include joining the Army as an officer—to lead, support and encourage soldiers to become the best versions of themselves.

Yonatan Amare

College of Education

If you had told me years ago that I would earn my master’s degree this soon—or even pursue one at all—I wouldn’t have believed you. It has been a challenging journey, and there were times I doubted myself. But through faith and perseverance, I made it.

Yonatan Amare

Amare is graduating with a Bachelor of Science in elementary education with a concentration in special education. He was an avid member of the Ethiopian Eritrean Student Association—a student organization he credits with helping him understand how to become a better teacher, friend and lifelong learner. When fall comes around, he intends to become a special educator in Baltimore County.
