TU alum Damien Diggs appointed as federal prosecutor

He was assigned to the Dallas Criminal Division’s Violent Crimes Section

United States Attorney Erin Nealy Cox announced that Towson University alumnus Damien Diggs ‘98 is one of five new assistant U.S. attorneys.

All five prosecutors were sworn in before U.S. Chief District Judge Barbara M.G. Lynn on Sept. 24.

Diggs earned his Bachelor of Science in political science and government from the College of Liberal Arts and his law degree from American University’s Washington College of Law in 2003. 

He worked as an associate at Hogan & Hartson for two years before joining the U.S. Department of Education as an attorney. He left in 2012 to become an assistant U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C.
