Olivia Lubarsky is owning her roar and the country is starting to hear it.

The Baltimore Sun featured the Towson University gymnast's efforts to raise awareness of mental health issues amongst student athletes October 2. The Sun's editorial board took notice, writing an editorial October 3 about how Lubarsky and TU students look out for each other.

"Let the roar from the Towson Tigers be heard far and wide," the op-ed said. "Cheering for the success of college teams is great, but how extra great to cheer for students with the courage to look out for themselves and others on a sometimes difficult journey through life. Mental illness is a diagnosis, not a personal character failing. It needn’t be confronted alone.

TU women's basketball coach Diane Richardson appeared on FOX45 October 2 to talk about the upcoming season. Talking with Towson University alum Patrice Sanders, Coach Richardson said she's ready to defend the Colonial Athletic Association championship.

"Obviously, we've got a target on our back," Coach Richardson told Fox 45. "But, I'm trying to get off of that and just play the way we play, Towson basketball."

She also helped pick this week's NFL games, which you can see October 4 on Fox 45 during morning news.
