Towson University will celebrate seniors and graduate students with a series of commemorative programs the week of May 18–22.

TU hopes the Celebration of Graduates week will provide the opportunity for graduates to reflect on how much they have accomplished. Until it is safe to host an in-person commencement ceremony, everyone is encouraged to use the hashtag #TUTogether to celebrate.

“I applaud our seniors and graduate students for reaching this milestone in their education,” said Melanie Perreault, TU's Provost & Executive Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs. “I can’t wait to celebrate them—both during Celebration of Graduates week, and again when it is safe for us to gather for in-person commencement.”

Graduates are invited to share photos from their final year and connect with their fellow Tigers.

In these unprecedented times, seniors and graduate students have shown tremendous resilience and perseverance in pursuit of their academic goals.

TU President Kim Schatzel shared a video message in March regarding changes to commencement.

Plans to hold a safe in-person ceremony are still in progress. Celebration of Graduates Week serves as the immediate opportunity for graduates to reminisce with friends, thank professors and staff who’ve inspired them to think differently, and let their families know how much their support is appreciated.

The schedule for the week, which will feature some major surprises, includes:
