Counseling Services
The Counseling Center offers personal counseling and a variety of other services to students, faculty and staff. In addition, the center is a resource for parents of TU students.
Some concerns that may be addressed by the Counseling Center include:
• Blocks to educational or career achievement
• Anxiety, depression and anger
• Life planning and decision-making
• Self-esteem and self-confidence
• Alcohol and drug-related problems
• Relationships with friends, roommates, parents, romantic partner or spouse
• Family problems
• Grief and loss
• Sexual matters
• Physical stress and tension
• Eating disorders and body image issues
• Physical or sexual mistreatment or abuse
• Identity development, e.g. race, class, gender, ability, sexual orientation
• Suicidal or self-destructive behavior or thoughts
• Problems encountered in the university environment
There is no fee for most services at the Counseling Center.
