Apply NowThe ELC is located in the center of the beautiful Towson University campus. You will meet people from all over the world as you study, participate in cultural and social events, and use campus recreational facilities. The Towson ELC is a semester-long program with fall, spring and summer semesters.

Intensive Academic English
For over thirty years, the Towson ELC has been offering state-of-the-art academic language instruction to students representing more than 80 countries. You will be placed in one of six levels of proficiency to help you build and strengthen your academic English language skills.

English Conversation and Culture Program
Our English Conversation and Culture Program is a 12 week course designed for part-time students and au pairs. Meetings are held once a week for 3 hours to enhance language fluency and cultural understanding.
Private Tutorial Program
We offer private tutoring by our experienced ESL teaching specialists to middle and high school students seeking language enrichment, as well as university students and professionals aiming to enhance writing and communication skills.

Learning Across America
Many au pairs have successfully participated in courses offered by the English Language Center and we welcome the opportunity to help them improve their English language skills. In addition to the in-person courses the English Language Center offers au pairs in the Baltimore area, we are pleased to partner with Learning Across America to provide au pairs with educational opportunities in a variety of cities across the United States.
