The Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry (OURCI) exists to celebrate and strengthen the culture of undergraduate scholarly inquiry at Towson University.
Who We Are
The Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry (OURCI) seeks to provide guidance and opportunities for Towson University students to pursue scholarly work in the arts and humanities, as well as the sciences and technical fields.
Specifically, we support "research, scholarly, or artistic activities that lead to the production of new knowledge; to increased problem solving capabilities, including design and analysis; to original critical or historical theory and interpretation; or to the production of art or artistic performance."
What We Do
The OURCI supports student research and creative inquiry in every field of study. We give research grants to cover research expenses, and travel grants to support students presenting at academic and professional conferences. In April of each year, we hold our campus-wide celebration of undergraduate research, the Research & Creative Inquiry Forum.
