PARKING AND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

Towson University shuttle buses are a convenient method of transportation at the university.

Shuttle Services

Towson University runs shuttle routes both

on-campus and off-campus to serve campus visitors and the general campus community. While on campus, community members should plan to park their vehicle in a designated lot and use the shuttle to access other locations on campus.

In addition to the para-transit service, the front seats of each campus shuttle bus are reserved for individuals with disabilities.

Summer Semester & Academic Year Breaks Alternative Options

Campus shuttles do not operate during the summer, over breaks or when the university is closed for a holiday or inclement weather. When campus shuttles do not operate during the summer or over breaks, for those TU students, faculty, and staff who utilize the shuttle services have other options which include: utilizing other Alternative Transportation Program, purchasing a pro-rated annual permit, or purchasing a weekly or monthly permit.

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, the primary concern is the safety of the campus community.  Shuttles will not operate if the university is closed due to inclement weather.  If the university opens late, every effort will be made to start operating shuttles one hour prior to the announced late opening time.  If the university closes early, shuttles will operate for up to one hour after the official closing time provided it remains safe to do so.  If department management determines it is unsafe to operate shuttles, service will be discontinued whether or not the university is open.

Please monitor Nextbus.com for notifications about shuttle service during inclement weather.

A portion of the bus shelters located on the campus allow for advertising by outside organizations.  If you are interested in advertising opportunities on these bus shelters, please contact MSSmedia at: 800.988.7657 or ads@MSSmedia.com
