Towson University Community Dance is an extension of the Department of Dance and its mission reflects the department’s mission of advocating “Dancing for a Lifetime.” The comprehensive curriculum, renowned faculty and highly trained instructors offer excellence in dance education for children, adults, and professionals.
TUCD's three distinct programs – Children’s Dance, Adult Dance and our Pre-Collegiate Program – play a powerful role in the growth of many young artists in the state of Maryland.
Accredited by the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD), the TU Community Dance program promotes an appreciation of the aesthetics of dance as an art form. It offers dance movers, educators and enthusiasts a stimulating and inviting environment to develop their technical excellence and deepen their artistic voice through a multifaceted curriculum.
For an overview of our program, policies, and calendar, see our 2015-2016 Student Handbook.
