Accounting Major
The accounting major provides students with the necessary knowledge and skills to transition into a career in accounting in a variety of settings, and prepares students for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination to enter the public accounting profession. Students complete the lower-level required courses, upper-level business required courses and upper-level accounting required courses for the accounting major.
Accounting Accelerated B.S./M.S.
Earn both your bachelor's and master's degrees in less time and gain the 150 credits required for CPA licensing at a more rapid pace with the accounting accelerated B.S/M.S.
Accounting Minor
The accounting minor is for students who want advanced accounting skills and career knowledge, but aren’t interested in becoming CPAs. The minor is a perfect complement to majors in business administration, economics or math with a concentration in actuarial science and risk management, but it is open to students from all programs other than accounting.
M.S. in Accounting and Business Advisory Services
Take your career to a new level with the M.S. in accounting and business advisory services. If you already hold a bachelor's degree in accounting from another institution, the additional specialized accounting coursework will count towards the 150-hour coursework requirement become licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in Maryland and many other states.
