Undergraduate Programs
Towson University offers a history major, a history minor, a human rights and history minor, and a history secondary education concentration.
For additional information about any of the programs that the Department of History offers, please contact the assistant chair, Dr. Benjamin Zajicek, at bzajicek AT_TOWSON or 410-704-2914.
Evening Courses and Two-Day-Per-Week Schedules
Each semester, the Department of History offers several courses that begin at 5 p.m. or later. It would, however, be difficult for a History major to complete the major in a timely fashion solely with evening courses. The Department also cannot guarantee that a student could complete the major with a two-day-per-week course schedule each semester. If you have questions about major requirements and scheduling, please contact the assistant chair, Dr. Benjamin Zajicek, at bzajicek AT_TOWSON or 410-704-2914.
Transfer Credit Policy
All History majors may transfer up to 18 units toward the major. All History minors may transfer up to 9 units toward the minor.
Advanced Placement Credit
The department awards credit through the Advanced Placement Program of the university for scores of 4 or 5 only.
