Sport Clubs

A sport club is a student organization, recognized by Campus Recreation and formed by students motivated by a common interest and desire to participate in a favorite sport activity. Clubs actively compete locally, regionally, or nationally against colleges and universities.

Clubs offer opportunities for learning a new sport, improving existing sport skills, practicing and playing for fun, and/or competing at various levels. Club officers develop valuable leadership skills, through successful management of administrative affairs and intra-club dynamics.

Campus Recreation oversees and advises all Sport Clubs. Clubs must operate within the Sport Clubs Organization framework of policies and procedures, which are in place to promote safety and manage risk. Clubs are funded by the Student Government Association.

“ I highly enjoyed playing Women's Ultimate. I met my roommates and some of my best friends. Ultimate was also a great stress reliever, and a great way to stay in shape! Overall, Sport Clubs is the reason that Towson became my home and the way that I met my future bridesmaids and lifelong friends ”
