This interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary major offers students the opportunity to study the status and roles of women as individuals and as members of society. Choose from women’s studies courses that best meet your needs and from an approved list of courses selected from other disciplines, spanning numerous departments and colleges. The culminating course experience allows you to integrate the knowledge you have acquired and apply it to real-world problems.
The Department of Women's and Gender Studies offers an accelerated bachelor’s to master’s program. Accelerated programs allow you to begin your graduate education as an undergraduate, offering you the opportunity to save time and money while you advance your academic career. The combined B.S./M.S. in Women's and Gender Studies enables students to substitute credits in the Master’s in Women's and Gender Studies program for undergraduate classes in the Women's and Gender Studies major.
