Towson University's undergraduate business program was ranked among the top in the country by U.S. News & World Report.

Only institutions accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International)—the premier accrediting agency for business programs worldwide—were eligible for the ranking. Less than 5% of higher education institutions worldwide are AACSB accredited for their business programs, and less than 1% are AACSB accredited for both business and accounting. TU has been AACSB accredited for business since 1992 and dually accredited for business and accounting since 1994.

This is the first year TU's business program has been ranked nationally.

"Maintaining AACSB accreditation for more than two decades has served as proof that our business program meets the gold standard for business education worldwide," Dean Shohreh Kaynama said." This ranking from U.S. News & World Report signals that the College of Business and Economics' reputation for excellence on a national scale is ever growing."

University of Maryland was the only other public institution in the state ranked higher than TU for its business programs.

With 11 concentrations and tracks, the business administration program is one of the most popular majors at TU. The program is also the largest AACSB-accredited program of its kind in Maryland.
