It's time to RISE. The fourth-annual TU Big Give, a one-day, campus-community-wide giving effort led by the Division of University Advancement, is returning April 27.

There are many different areas of contribution for donors to consider.

"Every year, Tigers around the world come together for 24 hours. They challenge themselves, and each other, to support Towson University and the areas that inspire them—scholarships, academic and athletic programs, our colleges and departments, student life and more," says Nky McGinnis, director of the annual campaign.

Alumni, parents, faculty and staff will receive postcards and emails sharing information regarding this year’s TU Big Give. Gifts can be made on the day at give.towson.edu

The 2021 TU Big Give secured more than $140,000 in support of key projects throughout the community.

“Now is our chance to RISE to the challenge. Our goal this year is 1,500 donors within 24 hours to support any and everywhere within our wonderful institution. Today is the day for us to give Big. RISE high,” says McGinnis.

Riding the energy from the launch of the landmark RISE, the Campaign for Towson University earlier this year, TU raised nearly $18 million during fiscal year ’21, an astounding 124% of the university’s goal and $3.9 million more than the previous record-setting year.

RISE, an historic $100 million comprehensive campaign, launched publicly last year, following a series of landmark gifts

The campaign features six priorities—student success, faculty excellence, academic innovation, community partnerships, building a world-class campus and sustaining opportunities through annual giving and endowment. Within each priority area are broad-based giving opportunities identified by deans, vice presidents, faculty and staff. The RISE campaign will further fuel TU’s continued progress and provide the resources necessary to achieve a bold and ambitious institutional vision, detailed in the university’s 2020–30 Strategic Plan.
