President's Newsletter
Pioneering the Campus of Tomorrow
In his December newsletter, President Ginsberg shares ongoing efforts to modernize TU's campus.
With ambitious plans for TU’s future, a modernized campus is essential to enhance student success, support world-class faculty and staff and expand the university’s impact across the region. This is why pioneering the campus of tomorrow is one of my presidential priorities—a commitment that will shape how we teach, learn and research for years to come.
Recent strategic investments are already strengthening the foundation of our campus. This includes ongoing projects like the renovation of Smith Hall, the expansion of the Academic Achievement Center on South Campus and the addition of a new electrical substation to increase long-term power capacity.
But perhaps most notably, we have launched the development of our next Campus Master Plan. This will be a 13-month effort that will guide and help prioritize capital investments through the next decade and beyond. Collaboration and interdisciplinary feedback are crucial during this process, so please stay tuned for ways to engage in the months ahead.
TU’s impact and reputation as Maryland’s top public university starts with our campus facilities. Thank you for your continued partnership as we shape the TU of tomorrow, ensuring a more vibrant, innovative and accessible campus for all.
Mark R. Ginsberg, Ph.D.
President
