Housing for Transfer Students

On-campus housing for transfer students is very limited. We strongly encourage you to explore alternative and off-campus housing options.

You may also complete the following process to put your name on the on-campus housing waitlist.

Getting on the Waitlist

We anticipate being full or close to full after our returning student housing selection and incoming freshmen placement processes. We will confirm availability and begin waitlist position communication starting May 28, 2024.

Submit Your Enrollment Deposit

To officially accept your offer of admission, please submit the $200 nonrefundable Enrollment Deposit and your deposit form in your TU Admissions Portal.

The deposit will secure your spot in the incoming class and will be applied to your tuition bill. Only students who have submitted their Enrollment Deposit will have access to the Housing Request Form.

Activate Your NetID

Once admitted to the university, activate your student NetID and student email.

Only students who have submitted their enrollment deposit and form, and have activated their NetID, can access the Housing Application.

You must complete steps 1 and 2 above before proceeding to step 3.

Submit Your Housing Request by May 17

  1. Log on to the Student Housing Gateway.
  2. Select “2024-2025 Housing Application”
  3. Review the information and then select "Submit Housing Request"
  4. Complete and submit the form.
  5. Students are added to the waitlist on a first-come, first-served basis.

Explore Alternative Housing Options

We strongly encourage you to explore alternate housing options while maintaining your place on our Fall 2024 Waitlist. TU has a partnership with Capstone On-Campus Management which operates Harris & Tubman and Millennium Hall. Review their sites to learn more about the application process and availability. You can also view off-campus housing options on the Towson University Off-Campus Housing Search. 

Off-Campus Student Housing Options

Gender-Inclusive Housing

All housing assignments are made based on legal sex unless the student requests Gender Inclusive Housing. Gender-inclusive housing can be requested during the application process.

*Harris Hall and Tubman Houses and Millennium Hall are not operated by the university. Any monies paid to Capstone Properties cannot be transferred to the university.

Medical Accommodations

Students with medical housing needs must request accommodations through the Office of Accessibility and Disability Services.
