As a member of the Student Foundation, you’ll share your love and passion for Towson University with fellow students, campus leadership, and alumni. You will encourage fellow students to join by building their sense of pride, loyalty, and love of tradition at TU.

Member Responsibilities

  • Assist with fundraising efforts by leading our student philanthropy campaign on campus
  • Organize and participate in student engagement and philanthropy events and initiatives
  • Work with the Division of University Advancement to host special events for alumni, donors, and friends of the university

Required Activities

  • Orientation: Saturday before fall semester
  • Winter Retreat: Sunday before spring semester
  • General Meeting: Twice a month
  • Committee Meeting: Once a month

Qualifications

  • Must be a rising sophomore, junior, or senior
  • Must have attended TU longer than one semester (Transfer students, Freshmen Transition Program)
  • Must maintain a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA

The Selection Process

The program is overseen by the Young Alumni & Student Outreach Coordinator. Qualified applicants are interviewed by a panel consisting of an advisor(s), a current member, and a former member of the program, with selections made by mid-June. The interview process will be virtual this year.
