The Office of Technology Services (OTS) supports TU students with a wide range of services and resources. These include Student Computing Services (SCS), off-campus support partners, plus self-help documents, videos and online tools.

Student Computing Services

OTS Student Computing Services (SCS) provides service desks, computer labs, multimedia support, Gear2Go equipment loans, studios and ResNet support during convenient hours of operation.

Reach us after hours

If you are calling after of our hours of operation, you can leave a voicemail message or talk to our answering service. The answering service is the best option for reporting widespread outages when we are not available. SCS staff will answer after-hours email, voicemail, texts and TechHelp service requests on the next business day.

This guide introduces the computing systems, services and resources that are important to TU students, especially those new to the campus.

Login  Problems or Account Activation

Your NetID is the username and password combination you use to access your email, registration, Blackboard courses, and just about every other TU system and service on which you rely. If you need to activate your account or if you can't log in and need to reset your password, start with NetID Tools.

OTS Training's Self-help Documents & Videos

This online library of documents and videos is a wellspring of useful technology information, particularly for those seeking topic overviews and hard-to-find advice.

Lynda.com Online Video Instruction

Lynda.com provides free online tutorials on a wide range of subjects including computer fundamentals, media creation, office productivity, and many popular applications. TU students can access Lynda.com using their NetID.

Get help with your student email, calendar and other Google features using our collection of resource links.

Blackboard Support

If you need help with Blackboard, open our student specific resources for advice on navigating, communicating, submitting assignments, using discussion boards, taking tests and many other operations. For 24/7 technical support, visit the Blackboard Support Portal or call 1-844-613-0155. 

Panopto Support

Many professors use Panopto to record lectures and other course materials. Some require that their students use Panopto to record class assignments. For support, visit the Panopto Support page or call 1-855-726-6786 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.).

TV viewing & in-room internet Access

XFINITY on Campus™ is a video streaming service for students living in TU-supported residence halls. We also provide traditional cable TV service. Visit Towson's TV Viewing Options page for instructions and support options.

Get help with wepa through their support portal or by calling 410-704-WEPA. Printer locations and self-help resources are included on the SCS Printing page.
