Comprehensive support resources are crucial on college campuses and have the power to strengthen academic success and overall student well-being.
At TU, students are part of a community of care with staff members who take pride in nurturing their success. With a diverse array of student support services available on campus, academic, personal and career-centered success are all within reach at TU.
Here’s how students can enhance their daily life and future success on campus.
Health and well-being
Maintaining physical, emotional and mental well-being while in school is crucial to leading a healthy life. Services available through the Health Center, Counseling Center, Dining Services and Campus Recreation support far more than counseling, check-ups, sudden illnesses and the like.
Here are just some of the resources that promote a community of care at TU.
FREE nutrition and well-being support
Programs like the Hub's Foodshare and Tiger Threads programs allow students to access food, personal care items, clothing and more for free.
In addition to three all-you-care-to-eat dining halls and 16 varied dining locations on campus, TU Hospitality has its own registered dietitian on-site.
Students can set up a 30 minute one-on-one nutrition consultation with TU's dietitian any time in the academic year.
Comprehensive healthcare
In addition to counseling and psychiatric care, TU provides students with access to comprehensive primary and urgent care services.
The Health Center offers healthcare services like physical exams, comprehensive gynecological care, common illnesses and fall flu and COVID-19 vaccine clinics. ASL and translation services are available.
Healthy relationship management
Whether students are navigating challenges in communication with roommates, romantic partners or coworkers, staff members in the Counseling Center and Housing and Residence Life are available for support.

Research support
Researching a topic for a paper or group project and don’t know where to begin? Cook Library's Academic Commons offers individualized research support with TU librarians.
The Ask a Librarian chat feature on Cook’s website connects directly with librarians during regular business hours. For in-depth research on general topics, students can use the feature to request a one-on-one meeting.
Tutoring and Learning Center
Feeling behind or looking to get ahead in a course? The Tutoring and Learning Center offers a wide array of supplemental services to support academic success.
For detailed information on appointment-based tutoring, drop-in tutoring and small group tutoring sessions, visit TracCloud.
Beyond tutoring, the TLC offers workshops on a variety of academic skill-building topics, including study strategies, tips for engaging with your professor, note-taking tips and more.
Public Communications Center
The Public Communications Center is your one-stop shop for all things public speaking.
Whether you're looking for assistance with outlining and organization, speech anxiety, rehearsal and delivery or visual aids and design, mentors in the PCC support students in all phases of the public speaking process.

Tech tips
Cook Library’s Academic Commons is also home to the Office of Technology Services (OTS). Through OTS, students can access personalized support managing their TU NetID, navigating Blackboard and setting up two-factor authentication on their devices.
Blackboard
Blackboard is TU's online classroom. Students use it to access course materials, submit assignments, communicate with instructors and take exams.

Technology Support Desk
The Technology Support Desk—in the Academic Commons—is your primary point for all things email, NetID, password, wi-fi/internet and general tech issues.
Visit the desk in person or access support by phone, chat, text, email or online through TechHelp.
Download Duo-Mobile
Dual-factor authentication is an important resource to keep your academic and personal data safe while at TU.
To download the app or for assistance on setting up Duo-Mobile with your TU NetID, visit the Office of Technological Services' tech support hub.
Career readiness
TU's Career Center houses services for every stage of the career and internship preparation and search process. From offering free business attire rentals via the SuiTUp Closet to networking opportunities, workshops and one-on-one career readiness support across all of TU's colleges, the Career Center is a valuable resource to utilize throughout your time at TU.
Interview and resume support
The Career Center has a plethora of resources to support interview preparation and guide resume and cover letter support.
Students can schedule a mock interview with a Career Center staff member and have their resume reviewed during Express Hours or scheduling a resume review appointment on Handshake.
Job and internship search
Handshake is the primary tool for students to find on-campus employment and job and internship postings.
Registration for job/career fairs, networking events, workshops and employer site-visits offered through the Career Center are posted via Handshake, which students can access witih their TU NetID credentials.
Career Communities
Career Communities enable students to get connected with alumni specialized in their career areas of interest.
They also provide targeted networking opportunities and one-on-one support from dedicated Career Community mentors specific to each college.
