The Tiger Threads clothing closet strives to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where students can find the clothing they need without the financial burden. Tiger Threads also aims to promote sustainable consumption patterns and waste minimization through the reuse and repurposing of clothing.

How it Works

Students, faculty and staff can receive up to two pieces of clothing from the closet per week. Those accessing the closet must show their OneCard before entering and complete a sign-out form before leaving. Bring a reusable bag or receive a brown paper bag for your items.

Why do we offer a clothing closet?

  • Cost savings allows students to save money on clothing expenses, enabling them to allocate their limited resources to other critical needs like tuition, textbooks, and housing.
  • Supporting well-being — enhances students’ well-being by ensuring they have appropriate attire for various situations, boosting their self-esteem and confidence.
  • Emergency supportprovides essential clothing items to students affected by emergencies like fires or natural disasters, helping them regain a sense of normalcy during challenging times. 
  • Promoting Sustainability — contributes to sustainability efforts by reducing the demand for new clothing production and mitigating the environmental impact of the fashion industry. 

How to Donate

Clothing donation are welcome but are only accepted during specified times announced through the Hub's Instagram account, or by contacting staff at

Donations cannot be accepted outside of these parameters due to donation protocols and capacity. Donator names and contact information must be included with all donations.
