Towson University has partnered with Parchment Exchange to provide efficient and convenient transcript orders and diploma re-orders. Create an account at Parchment Exchange if this is your first time requesting a transcript or diploma re-order.
- Graduating students receive their initial diploma at no cost within 2-3 months of degree completion.
- Make sure final grades/degree are posted before placing an order.
- Use a personal email address when creating a Parchment Exchange account.
- Verify information is correct before submitting your order. Inaccurate information may delay processing.
Unofficial Transcripts
- Current Towson Students:
- View and print unofficial transcripts online via Towson Online Services Student Dashboard.
- Former Towson Students
- Request an unofficial transcript in person at the Registrar’s Office (Enrollment Services 223) with a photo ID.
- Unofficial transcripts cannot be emailed, faxed, or mailed.
Official Transcript Delivery Options
Campus Same Day:
- A hard-copy transcript is available in person at the Enrollment Services Center, Room 223, Monday – Friday 8:30am-4:00pm. The cost is $12 per transcript paid by cash or check.
Parchment Exchange
Standard USPS shipping:
- A hard-copy transcript is mailed via USPS First-Class Mail and typically arrives within 7–10 business days. The cost for standard USPS shipping is $12.
Electronic:
- A digital transcript is typically emailed the same day. While electronic transcripts are widely accepted, please confirm that the recipient will accept a digital transcript before placing your order. The cost for an electronic transcript is $10.
- An electronic transcript (secure, certified PDF) is considered official only if sent directly from Towson University to the intended recipient and remains unaltered. Forwarded transcripts are considered unofficial.
- Electronic transcripts are certified each time the file is opened to verify authenticity. A printed copy of a digital PDF transcript is considered unofficial.
Expedited:
- A hard copy transcript is mailed via FedEx expedited shipping and costs $45.
- Orders placed and received before 2pm Eastern Standard Time will be delivered within two business days. Orders placed after 2pm Eastern Standard Time will be delivered within three business days.
- FedEx expedited shipping does not deliver on Saturday or Sunday.

International:
- A hard copy transcript is mailed via FedEx International Priority shipping and typically arrives within 1–3 business days. The fee for FedEx International Priority shipping is $15.75
Sales tax is collected on transcripts and diplomas by Parchment Exchange in compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws. The total cost of your request may vary based on factors such as document type, delivery method, and location. A full breakdown of charges, including any applicable taxes, will be displayed before you complete your order.
Transcript Request Eligibility & Instructions
Current students applying to Towson University Undergraduate or Graduate programs:
- Do not need to request an official transcript for admission.
- TU will provide your official transcript internally.
Former Baltimore Hebrew University (BHU) students:
- Can request an official transcript through Parchment exchange.
- Transcripts are available in electronic or paper format.
Former University of Baltimore/Towson University Joint MBA Student:
- Request transcripts from the University of Baltimore.
- All student records-including course history and degrees- are maintained in UB’s student data system.
- These records do not exist in Towson University’s student system.
Certification Courses:
- Towson University does not issue transcripts for certification courses.

Frequently Asked Questions
I received an error message that the school is not available. How do I place an order?
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select “Add Institution.”
- Type in Towson University. You should be redirected to place a transcript order.
- If you still receive an error, email recordsandregistration AT_TOWSON for assistance.
Can I send an attachment with an official paper transcript?
Yes, Attachments are included in the same envelope as the transcript. To be accepted:
- File formats must be PDF, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, TXT, DOC, or DOCX
- Files cannot exceed 300 KB.
- A maximum of 3 pages is allowed.
Can my transcript be sent to the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS)?
Yes, requests should be submitted through Parchment Exchange.
- Fee is $10 for electronic transcripts and $12 for paper transcripts.
- You must provide your AAMC Transcript ID when placing the order.
I received a notification that the order was placed on hold. What does this mean?
Orders are placed on hold if:
- The student graduated or attended Towson University prior to 2001, or
- The student graduated or attended after 2001 but did not provide a TU Identification Number.
- These orders require additional research by the Registrar’s Office, which can delay processing.
