Request a Transcript
Towson University has partnered with Parchment Exchange to make transcript orders and diploma re-orders easier for you. All students will receive their initial diploma free of charge within 2-3 months of degree completion.
Students applying for Towson Undergraduate or Graduate Admissions do not need to request an official transcript from Towson University as part of their admission process. Your official transcript from TU will be obtained internally.
Current and Former Students
Transcripts are available in paper ($10) or digital ($8) format from Parchment Exchange. Former TU students who no longer have access to their student dashboard can order their official transcripts on the Parchment website. Current students can request official transcripts from their student dashboard via Towson Online Services Student Dashboard, under the Academics tab. Please ensure final grades have posted and/or the degree has been conferred if you are expecting that information to appear on the transcript.
Current students can view unofficial transcripts from their student dashboard via Towson Online Services Student Dashboard, under the Academics tab. Former TU students who no longer have access to their student dashboard may request an unofficial transcript in person with a photo ID at the Registrar's Office, ES223. Unofficial transcripts will not be emailed, faxed, or mailed.
When placing an order, please use a personal email address if you do not have access to a TU email address. Entering inaccurate information for transcript orders or diploma re-orders will result in the order not being fulfilled. Please verify all information is correct before submitting your order.
Frequently Asked Questions
I am a former University of Baltimore/Towson University Joint MBA Student, how do I request a transcript?
Students who were part of the joint MBA program between the two institutions that ran from 2006 through 2018 should request their transcripts from the University of Baltimore. All student data, course records and degrees are held in the University of Baltimore’s student data system and do not exist in TU’s student data system.
I am a former Baltimore Hebrew University (BHU) Student, how do I request a transcript?
Towson University has authorized Parchment Exchange as our third party vendor to provide official transcripts in electronic or paper format to former Baltimore Hebrew University (BHU) students. The cost is $8 for electronic transcript and $10 for a paper transcript.
How do I setup an account?
If you are a first time user of Parchment Exchange, you will need to set up an account. The following information will be required to ensure proper student matching:
- Birth date
- Year graduated or last attended
- Last four digits of your SSN
- Student ID number (optional)
- Email address
While electronic transcripts are widely accepted, confirm with your recipients that they will accept this format before ordering. An electronic (secure, certified PDF) transcript is “official” in its electronic form as long as it is not altered. Each time the file is opened, it will be certified electronically (internet connection required) to ensure that it has not been altered. A printed copy of a PDF transcript is not official.
Can an attachment be sent with an official paper transcript?
Yes, the attachment will be enclosed in the same envelope with the transcript and must have the following characteristics:
- Acceptable file formats are: PDF, JPEG, TIFF, PNG, TXT, DOC and DOCX
- Files cannot exceed 300kb
- Maximum of 3 pages are allowed
A paper transcript is “official” only as long as it remains in its sealed envelope. Do not open the sealed envelope if you are forwarding the document to another party (an institution, employer or other person). Open the envelope only if you have ordered the transcript for personal use.
Can my transcript be sent to the American Medical College Application Service?
Request your transcript be sent to AMCAS using Parchment Exchange, for a fee of $8 for an electronic transcript and $10 for a paper transcript. You must have your AAMC Transcript ID available when you place your order.
Is it possible to get an official transcript on the same day? Rush?
Yes, Towson University offers a rush processing service between the hours of 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m., Monday-Friday. Requests can be made in person at the Enrollment Services Center, Room 223. The cost is $10 per transcript. Payment can be made by cash or check to Towson University.
