International Initiatives

Our Mission

• We advocate for the integration of international perspectives throughout the curriculum, the recruitment and success of international students, and collaboration with international partners.
• We serve international students and faculty, students who study abroad and away, English language learners, and all members of the TU community who contribute to the university's global advancement.

Our Vision

• We envision a globally engaged Towson University, where students and faculty from the United States and all countries of the world will experience meaningful international learning and research opportunities on campus and throughout the world.

• We believe that global learning is integral to a well-rounded education for all students.
• We believe that international and intercultural engagement broadens individual perspectives and strengthens communities.
• We believe that all our activities should be student-centered and seek to celebrate and advance the unique perspectives that international students and those who study abroad or away bring to the university community.

International Initiatives oversees the International Student and Scholar Office, the English Language Center, and the Study Abroad and Away Office, while supporting all of TU's international activities, including international partnerships, visiting scholars, and international admissions.
