Research Interests

Research in the Bakhoda laboratory focuses on organic synthesis via base-metal catalysis as well as organometallic synthesis.  Students in my lab will engage in air-free synthetic techniques.  Spectroscopic and characterization methods such as UV-Vis, FT-IR, multinuclear NMR, Mass Spectrometry, EPR, X-ray crystallography and Cyclic Voltammetry are practised routinely in our group.  We also seek to develop new biologically active small molecules for developing new Positron Emission Tomography (PET) radiotracers for pre-clinical brain imaging.
