of Financial Systems & Technology, University Accounting, and the University Budget
Financial Systems & Technology
The Financial Systems & Technology department provides the campus community with support for and management of financial
systems operations. This includes support for Stratus Financials as well as information
on training workshops, reporting and training documentation, business processes and
the chart of accounts.
University Accounting assures the accuracy of the information maintained in the university's internal systems
through extensive monthly reconciliations with the State of Maryland's Relational
Standard Accounting and Reporting System (R*Stars); generates all financial reporting;
and prepares the university's annual audited financial statements.
University Budget Office
The University Budget Office (UBO) is responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the university's multimillion
dollar operating budget. In conjunction, the UBO serves as the office of financial
analysis to advise on the university’s financial status, respond to fiscal inquiries
and ensure equity, transparency and compliance with state and NACUBO guidelines.
UBO advises on the resolution of budget issues and maintains position control and
vacancy reporting for state positions.
