Sexual Health Peer Educator Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a SHAG peer.

Applying to be a SHAG Peer

The Sexual Health Awareness Group is made up of students who educate campus communities about sex and sexuality. Housed in the Towson University Health Center, we are a volunteer peer education group who share the common interest in eradicating sex-related stigma, promoting body autonomy and good consensual sex for those who want it.

Application process

You may apply at any time of year and your application will be kept on file until we have openings. We typically conduct interviews in April and new SHAG peers begin in August.

The contents of your application will be confidential within the group, though staff who review it are subject to the university’s student sexual misconduct policy. In short, this means that we are obligated to report any information we learn about an instance of sexual violence that involves a university student, faculty or staff person. Please consider this when completing your application (below).
