There's as much misinformation as there is valid information circulating about Coronavirus.
So TU is working hard to not only monitor and respond to the rapidly-changing outbreak of COVID-19, but also to provide information and resources to campus.
On Wednesday, TU's Director of Student Health Services, Dr. Matt Goldstein, will hold a question-and-answer session with the campus community on the topic. Dr. Goldstein will be on hand at 6:30 p.m. in Linthicum 111, and students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend.
There are currently no confirmed cases in Maryland or at Towson University.
On Tuesday, TU announced the suspension of all study abroad programs for spring break and the summer 2020 term.

The University has already taken the following actions:
- On January 30, 2020, Towson University suspended all study abroad programming and all university-sponsored and university-related travel to China for spring 2020.
- On February 26, Towson University suspended any and all upcoming university-sponsored and university-related travel to Italy and Japan for spring 2020, out of an abundance of caution.
- On February 29, Towson University began recalling all faculty, staff and students who are currently abroad in Italy for the spring 2020 term.
- Based upon CDC travel advisories, Towson University will not recall faculty, staff or students currently abroad in Japan for the spring 2020 term at this time.
- The university will provide assistance and support to facilitate the early return home for any TU student studying abroad anywhere during the spring 2020 term. The TU Study Abroad office is in direct communication with all spring 2020 term study abroad participants.
Towson University will continually evaluate this rapidly evolving situation based on the recommendations of both host country and U.S. public health authorities and will take alternative action as appropriate.
