Towson University students can now access free tickets to concerts, dance performances and plays hosted by the College of Fine Arts & Communications (COFAC). These free student rush tickets are available in limited quantities for all of COFAC’s ticketed events.

How to claim your tickets

Students can claim free performance tickets by presenting their OneCards at the Center for the Arts Box Office starting one hour before the performance. The box office is on the third floor of the Center for the Arts near the main staircase. If student rush tickets sell out, students can purchase tickets at a discounted rate.

Broadening access to the arts

The new ticketing initiative aims to make the arts more accessible to all students, regardless of major or discipline. It reduces barriers, enabling students from all backgrounds to take in a show or concert and experience the sense of wonder and new perspective that the arts can give.

“We want students to have the opportunity to see the wonderful events we put on,” says COFAC marketing and public relations manager Laura Malkus. “We hope it will contribute to life on campus as a whole.”

A generous donation

The free ticketing program is possible because of support from a generous COFAC alumnus who believes in the power of the arts.

“He feels strongly that engaging with the performing arts can be a life-changing experience for everyone," says COFAC Dean Regina Carlow. "His gift makes it possible for many more students to attend fine and performing arts events at TU.”
