Well-being Collective
The Well-being Collective is a cross-campus leadership group dedicated to embedding the principles of the Okanagan Charter to foster a culture of well-being for all students, staff, and faculty. The Collective will steward strategy, align resources, and champion systemic change to integrate well-being into TU’s policies, practices, and community.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Guidance: Identify and prioritize institutional well-being goals aligned with the Okanagan Charter's framework.
- Collaborative Action: Form and support subcommittees/workgroups to advance specific initiatives.
- Accountability: Monitor progress, assess impact, and report annually to university leadership.
- Engagement: Amplify stakeholder voices (students, staff, faculty) to ensure all members of the TU community feel included.
Well-being Defined
At TU, we believe that well-being is the optimal state that allows people to achieve their full potential. Well-being is focused on both the individual and community level. With strong well-being, people feel their basic needs are met and they feel generally happy. There is a sense of community that provides opportunities and resources that contribute to the members’ perception that quality of life is positive for all members, regardless of individual identity.
