Biography

Amber joined the Regional Economic Studies Institute (RESI) in 2023 as a research associate. In this role, she performs research for projects that support client organizational decision-making. She assists in economic and policy analysis; extracts and analyzes data from various federal, state, and local sources; and supports analytical tasks of research projects through summarizing data and creating drafts of data and research summaries.

Previously, Amber worked as an assistant director in the nonprofit sector, where her feasibility studies and market analyses were used to help develop and launch a non-public school. She has managed multiple key project evaluations, upheld fiduciary responsibilities, and contributed to program developments while assisting in the direction of several non-profits that benefited the education and recreation of children. Amber has also supported operations within the financial industry, leading the research, financial and legal case management of bankruptcy and civil judgment claims.

Education

Amber earned a B.S. in social science with a sociology minor from University of Maryland University College.

Personal

Amber enjoys spending time with her three children, crafting, taking nature walks, thrifting, volunteering with her children’s school organizations and participating in community planning/development committees.
