Biography

Dr. Chen’s research intersects with technical and professional communication, public health rhetoric, digital rhetoric, and environmental risk communication. Her work appears in Computers and Composition, an edited book titled Global Rhetorics of Science, proceedings of the ACM International Conference on Design of Communication, and the International Journal of Humanities and Social Science. She has an upcoming article titled Constructed Ethos and Kairotic Responses in Communicating about the COVID-19 Pandemic to the Chinese Public to be featured in Technical Communication Quarterly.
